Frequently Asked Questions


1. How long can a person stay in the transitional program?
A woman can stay in the transitional program for 30 days. Case by case situation is considered depending on the needs of the individual client. Click here to apply.

Out-Patient clients, males and females can participate in the program for up to six months.

2. How do I know if I qualify?

Transitional Housing Clients:
1. Females 18 and older.
2. Income not to exceed $1,900 a month.
3. No Insurance, No Medicaid, No SSI.
4. Must have Assessment and voucher from Access to Recover Program.
5. Must have a problem with substance abuse
6. Can not be pregnant.
7. Can not move in with children.
8. Client must have ID.
9. Client can not have physical and mental impairments. Must be able to care for themselves.

Out-Patient Clients:
1. Male and females 18 and older.
2. Must have a problem with substance abuse.
3. Income not to exceed $1,900 a month.
4. No Insurance, No Medicaid, No SSI
5. Must have assessment and voucher for Access to Recovery Program.


3. What happens to my children?
Children are not admitted in to the residential home. Children are usually in the custody of a relative or HRS. Contact Division of Children and Families for further support.

4. What does it cost to come to your program?
Program fees may be paid through Access to Recovery Program, Substance Abuse Services. Call 407-291-1680 to obtain voucher for services and payment.

5. Can I work while in the program, and will you help me get a job?
Yes. We will assist you in job skills training and job search.

7. Is your program a Faith Based Program?
Yes. We teach biblical principles to help build your faith, discipleship training, moral and ethical values.

8. Can I have visitors?
Phone visitation only to and from family members and/or husband. Boyfriends/significant others not allowed.

9. What is the process for entry into the program, and how long does it take?
The person seeking service must make the initial phone call - Scheduled interview – Assessment and interview to discuss program guidelines, expectations, program services and what clothing and items to bring. Intake into the program may take 24-48 hours depending on bed space.

Admission to Out-patient Program is usually immediate following an assessment of program needs.

10. Can I bring my car with me?
No. Cars are not permitted.
